2021 Designation Red Wine - Club Only

Imagine what you love about Anomaly Vineyards Cabernet - now imagine those flavors more pure, those tannins more fine, the concentration more subtle, and the texture even more graceful. It is with immense gratitude that we introduce the 2021 vintage of Anomaly Vineyards Designation.

Winemaker's Notes:

The nose of the 2021 Designation is layered and evocative, opening with blackcurrant liqueur and plum skin and threaded with notes of graphite clove and cardamom.  A cool mineral line of wet slate after rain and a lift of sweet earth rounds out the bouquet.

On entry, the wine is focused and restrained, its dark fruit—cassis, blackberry, and plum are more sculpted than opulent.  Mid-palate brings a dance of espresso crema, thyme and black tea.  The tannins are firm yet silken, carrying the flavors with precision rather than weight. A cordial brightness gives this wine its decisive poise.

The finish is long and resonant, echoing tones sandalwood, violet and blueberry. This wine is built for the long haul and will last decades in your cellar. Stunning now with patience and air but destined to reveal greater nuance and depth over the next 15–25 years.

Each bottle of Designation is crafted from a very small number of hand-selected barrels, thus making the 2021 Designation extremely rare and exceptionally delicious.  This is your special occasion wine and it’s time to celebrate.
